I've been told that this art was used as an ad in many Marvel comics around 1978 (thanks Rodrigo). Please let me know if you can name any of the specific issues that this appeared in.
I bought this from Dave's son, Ivan, and Dave kindly signed this at a convention in 2002. Dave couldn't remember exact details about this, but I'm guessing that the stats were added as a joke by someone at Marvel. They're very professionally done, but of course the Human Fly never made it past 19 issues. |
